| Katharine Mulherin is pleased to present Poses, a new exhibition of paintings by artist Shauna Born. |
| ‘Poses’ is a series of small, static portraits of strangers and intimates by Canadian painter Shauna Born. It addresses both a current and deeply rooted historical desire to document faces in portraiture. The size and nature of these paintings reflect the methods we use to consume image culture through ephemera such as digital photos, websites and magazines. |

| I have been selected as a finalist for The Kingston Prize, a national portrait competition. |
| The Kingston exhibition will be held at the Grand Theatre, 218 Princess Street in Kingston, opening Friday, October 9, 2009. The exhibition tour continues to Acadia University Gallery, Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Nov 6 to Dec 10. Waddington's Auction rooms Toronto January 8 - 19.
